Current Areas of Research
Dr. Byosiere is the Director of the Thinking Dog Center at CUNY Hunter College where she focuses on studying the behavior and cognition of domestic dogs, canids, and other companion animals. Dr. Byosiere's research focuses on a variety of different topics including visual perception, illusion susceptibility, social play behavior, animal sheltering practices, training methodologies, and human-animal relationships. Additionally, Dr. Byosiere is interested in community outreach and education through means of science-communication, community science projects, and more.
