At Hunter College, the security and safety of our campus community and visitors is always our top priority. The College takes a proactive approach to physical security, personal safety and information security by providing our community with a broad range of services that meet the needs and expectations of a safe community. Our goal is to maintain the safety and security of all people and property at the college. Most importantly, campus safety is a collective and collaborative effort, and at Hunter, personal safety is a partnership between those whose responsibility it is to develop and enforce policies and procedures and the community whom we serve.

Meet the TeamOur Campus Access Policy
To keep Hunter College safe and secure, and to identify all persons entering our buildings, all entrances are equipped with turnstiles and/or card readers that operate with the Hunter OneCard. In addition, all guests, including those with an ID card from other CUNY colleges, will be directed to the Visitor’s Center of that campus, where an associate or public safety officer can assist them in securing a pass for entry.
