Student Veterans Services

Student Veteran Services (SVS) is the central hub that connects student veterans with academic and personal support resources on and off campus. The SVS team is made up of dedicated student affairs professionals, who support the student veteran population at the college, including: service members, veterans, and eligible family members. Our goal is to support your academic and personal endeavors at Hunter, from acceptance to graduation, including your transition and integration to our college community.

Beginning with their second semester at Hunter College, first degree-seeking undergraduate veterans may enroll in classes on the first day of the registration period, known as Priority Registration. This benefit provides student veterans with the widest class options and scheduling choices (days and times).

Additionally, student veterans have until the last day of each semester to pay tuition/fees to the college. This benefit is not automatic and must be requested every semester upon registration for classes by using the below form(s).

VA ENROLLMENT CERTIFICATION AND TUITION DEFERRAL

Student veterans who wish to use VA education benefits must first register for classes, then complete the appropriate forms. Students should check the Student Veteran Brightspace page for the most up-to-date forms for the upcoming semester(s).
