More than half of Hunter’s population is made up of students who did not start their education here at Hunter (also known as transfer students). Everyone’s academic path is different which is why we have created the Hunter Promise Program to better serve our future transfer students.
Follow the instructions below and you will be on your way to becoming a Hawk in a short two years.

Complete supplemental steps as outlined by the specific Hunter Promise Program.
Complete the terms of the specific Hunter Promise Program if you receive a GPA of 2.5 of above and complete the terms for each individual pathway.
Students who have demonstrated stellar academic success and maintained a 4.0 GPA in their degree are guaranteed a Hunter Promise Scholarship!
You start your college journey at one of our partner community colleges, complete your Associates Degree at that community college, and apply as a transfer student in your last semester. We guarantee you admission into our School of Arts & Sciences as long as you complete your Associate’s of Arts Degree (AA) or Associate’s of Science Degree (AS) with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
