About Housing at Hunter College

Leasing housing through Hunter College allows students to live in the heart of New York City while pursuing their academic studies. Hunter's housing options offer convenient access to campus, public transportation, and the cultural, professional, and social opportunities Manhattan provides. Hunter's housing is owned and operated by Found Study, and students living in Hunter College–affiliated residences benefit from a supportive residential experience.

With a student population of over 22,000, only a limited number of students are able to live in Housing at Hunter College. As a result, the application process is highly competitive, and housing is not guaranteed. Students must reapply each year and are encouraged to remain engaged in the process to maximize their chances of securing housing.
