Hunter’s student clubs on campus represent a wide variety of interests. From organizations such as the Accounting Society to the Epsilon Sigma Phi Sorority, areas of shared interest include academics, careers, culture, the arts, faith, advocacy and community.

Accounting Society
The Accounting Society of Hunter College aims to enhance the professional, academic, and social lives of its members. The fundamental goals of the society are to establish a professional culture and facilitate networking among the Hunter College accounting students, faculty, and industry professionals through speaker engagement events, career-building workshops, and community service. The Accounting Society strives to educate its members about current accounting and business issues, while simultaneously helping its members learn the hard and soft skills required to become successful business professionals and community leaders in today’s competitive business environment.
Association of Business Students
ABS serves as an informational and developmental forum for students interested in learning more about the interdisciplinary fields of business. ABS strives to unite members of diverse scholastic backgrounds and expose them to various business career-paths available to any majors.
Bachelor of Fine Arts Student Organization
To engage in outreach and to create workshops helping students understand the role of a BFA degree. To help and guide students who are submitting BFA applications. To create transparency around the BFA application process, and make public the names of accepted students. To host guest lectures, gallery visits and studio visits specifically targeted to students at 68th St, lead and organized by current BFA members. To advocate for the needs of current BFA students.
Computer Science Club
We aim to provide a general and inclusive space for interested students in all fields of Computer Science while providing them with the skills necessary to pursue a related career through the form of weekly meetings, practical projects, workshops, and guides.
CUNY Edge Club of Hunter College
The CUNY EDGE club is an extension of CUNY EDGE’s core values and will host programming that aligns with the CUNY EDGE Program. The club is beneficial to our members’ academic, professional, and personal growth. All CUNY EDGE participants who are interested in leadership opportunities, passionate about helping their peers, inspired to empower others, and eager to jump-start their networking pursuits are welcome to join the club.
The CUNY EDGE Club aims to develop strong leadership skills amongst its members. Students from diverse backgrounds will come together from an array of majors to network, encouraging each other to become more diverse thinkers – all while preparing them for real-life scenarios and supporting their professional development. The History Society of Hunter College focuses on aiding individuals on their journey as a history major while also serving as a network for anyone passionate about history. We accomplish this through faculty and guest presentations, workshops, field trips, and networking.
Matriculate at Hunter College
Matriculate is a national non-profit whose mission is to guide and support high-achieving, low-to-moderate income high school students to make the leap to college. Our shared vision with Matriculate at Hunter College, a chapter of the national non-profit, is that one day all students in the U.S. will have access to higher education that best meets and supports their goals, regardless of socio-economic status or background.
To accomplish this, Matriculate at Hunter College recruits, trains, and supports undergraduate college students to provide the information, guidance, and support high school students need to apply, gain admission to, and excel in higher education.
Medical History Society
The Medical History Society is a space where students will be able to delve into the rich history of medicine, to learn about the evolution of medical practices, treatments, and technologies over time.
Through preservation of knowledge and interdisciplinary learning members we will be able to raise awareness about the importance of understanding medical history in the context of modern healthcare and medical ethics.

The Medical Laboratory Science Club is dedicated to learning and developing professionalism while providing gateways to become better scientists. National Student Nurses Association
The purpose of the Hunter-Bellevue Student Nurses Association (HBSNA) is to provide activities and functions that contribute to the fundamental and professional development of future nurses. The organization aims to unite students and faculty alike to create a stimulating, productive and fun environment that will promote school unity and cohesion.

Pre-Dental Society of Hunter College
The purpose of the Pre-Dental Society is to provide opportunities and guidance for pre-dental students at Hunter College. We organize events to foster the growth of pre-dental students at Hunter College. Additionally, we provide opportunities for students that are critical for the dental school application process.
Pre-Health Research Initiative
The purpose of this club is to enrich the academic and professional development of undergraduate students by equipping them with knowledge, skills, and experiences that will produce competitive candidates for professional health-related programs, who are better prepared to become successful participants in various health and graduate professions.
Pre-PA Society of Hunter College
Our mission is to provide the pre-PA students of Hunter College a community where they can engage with their fellow pre-PA peers, while giving them the knowledge and opportunities that will better prepare them for the pre-PA path. We aim to prepare students for the application process, guide them through meaningful workshops, and allow them to explore different aspects of the PA career.
Pre-Veterinary Club
The purpose of the club is to provide support to students who are looking or are taking the steps in applying to veterinary school. We are a club that would provide the steps in applying, building a strong application and to aid them in any questions they need. We would provide group activities that would aid them in their application process.
Psychology Club
The purpose of the Psychology Club is to facilitate a cohesive social group aimed at providing students with an opportunity to gain a greater appreciation for the discipline of psychology, and to facilitate the dissemination of relevant information for matters of concern to members.
Urban Public Health
To represent the academic and professional goals of students enrolled in the undergraduate Public Health (PH) program or Nutrition and Food Science (NFS) program by bringing awareness of urban public health issues and resources to the Hunter College community. In addition, we aim to create a community that brings together Public Health and Nutrition and Food Science majors to assist and support each other on our academic journey
American Cancer Society
American Cancer Society is dedicated to helping people who face cancer. Our purpose is to provide support, encourage prevention, promote a healthy lifestyle, foster innovation, discuss cancer disparities, and share stories of researchers and cancer survivors. By working with the nationwide American Cancer Society, we plan to raise awareness of current cancer research and discuss risk, prevention, and screening methods to eliminate cancer. American Cancer Society at Hunter College seeks to create awareness of the deadly disease among students at Hunter College and assist cancer patients by hosting fundraisers and volunteer events and providing them with numerous resources.
Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association of Hunter College
The Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association of Hunter College is a community of Hunter College student leaders dedicated to exploring and addressing the unique health challenges of Asian and Pacific Islander American communities to improve their overall well-being. We strive to empower Asian and Pacific Islander American pre-health students to develop personally and professionally through leadership and service, and provide a platform for students to network with industry professionals, Hunter College students, and faculty. APAMSA of Hunter College also promotes the dissemination of information regarding Asian and Pacific Islander American issues in medicine.
Best Buddies
Best Buddies at Hunter College is a part of Best Buddies International, a nonprofit that creates opportunities for friendships between people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our chapter works with the school and Best Buddies staff to follow the organization's mission and rules, as well as the school's regulations for clubs. We're here to make a lively community where students connect with IDD individuals, making real friendships and learning from each other. Through planned activities, we'll bond, understand, and accept one another, all while growing personally and as leaders. This is a chance to change lives in meaningful ways.
Clear Minds
Clear Minds is a dedicated club that aims to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and educate others about addiction and mental health. We recognize that addiction is often surrounded by misunderstanding, fear, and judgment, which can misinform others on what addiction is, prevent people from seeking the help they need, and prevent many from feeling supported by their communities. Clear Minds seeks to dismantle these barriers by promoting an educational space that aims to teach what addiction is, how common it is, and ways to reduce stigma towards those struggling.
This clubs purpose is to reach out to the community of Hunter College and display the realities of addiction, explore its root causes, and engage in compassionate discussions. Through educational workshops, guest speakers, support initiatives, outreach events, and resources such as counseling and wellness, we address the science of addiction, the role of mental health, and the influence of social and environmental factors. We believe that addiction is a complex health issue, rather than a personal failure.
Our goal is to empower members with the proper awareness and knowledge about addiction and mental health. We envision a future where no one facing addiction feels isolated, judged or misunderstood, and instead encouraged to seek and support recovery.
Coalition for the Revitalization of Asian American Studies of Hunter College (CRAASH)
The club's purpose is to create a safe space for Hunter students who may identify as Asian American to share their experiences and learn about Asian American history and inform students of current courses, faculty, and resources Hunter has to offer.
DREAM Team
The purpose of the club is to create a space for people who are/or support undocumented students and their families, and provide them with information and resources as well as emotional support. The club will give undocumented students a place to come out and feel free within their own school.
Friends of MSF - Friends of Médecins Sans Frontières Doctors without Borders
Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters, and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. The purpose of this student chapter is to spread knowledge and raise awareness regarding MSF’s work in the field and about humanitarian issues. We expect to involve our fellow students in non-governmental organizations such as MSF through advocacy campaigns.
Greenbelt Society of Hunter College
We are a diverse group of professionals, faculty, alumni and students affiliated with the Department of Geography and Environmental Science at Hunter College in NYC. Our mission is to provide a platform for members to actively participate in projects, events and other activities in environmental science and sustainable development. We seek to promote intellectual and professional development through discussion, interdisciplinary collaboration and external networks.
Heart at Hunter
Heart at Hunter aims to help provide interested students with knowledge of key cardiovascular and heart issues. Through awareness/education, advocacy, and fundraising, the club will help support the mission of the American Heart Association (AHA) and the heart community by educating the college community about heart issues, encourage students to be leaders through advocating important issues for legislation with congressmen, while helping to give back through raising money to help fund AHA’s programs and research. We hope to bring passionate students a new perspective of medicine with the field of cardiology and give them a unique community service experience by being heart health advocates.

Latino Medical Student Association
The mission of the Latino Medical Student Association of Hunter College is to unite and empower current and future physicians through service, mentorship, and education to advocate for the improved health of the Hispanic & Latino community in the United States
Music is Medicine
The purpose of Music is Medicine is for Hunter College student musicians to provide musical performances for patients in the hospital. Our goal is to alleviate stress and combat clinical conditions such as delirium. We collaborate with several Manhattan hospitals including Lenox Hill, Mount Sinai, and New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell. For pre-health students, this club serves as a creative outlet outside of the STEM schedule and a collaborative environment aiming to foster a sense of community.
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
Our goal is to raise mental health awareness on campus, reduce the stigma of mental illness, and encourage a healthy discussion on various mental health topics. We will also work to foster a supportive community at Hunter College and to increase awareness of the mental health services available at Hunter College and in the communities.
Palestine Solidarity Alliance of Hunter College
The Palestine Solidarity Alliance intends to strengthen alliance between the Palestinian people and minorities here within the United States, highlighting the intersectionality of their struggles. As a club, students will advocate for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement that was called for by Palestinian civil society to demand that Israel comply with international law and end its long list of human rights abuses against the Palestinian people. We will host events on campus such as study groups, events with keynote speakers, discussions, and film-screenings.
Placemakers of Hunter College
The purpose of Placemakers of Hunter College shall be to facilitate students coming together to advocate for public space that better serves the college community. We support the creation of safe and vibrant places for people to gather, learn and socialize that include, but are not limited to, pedestrianized streets, plazas, and widened sidewalks.
We will work to strengthen a thriving, productive public realm on campus - and beyond - by empowering students to create a built environment that reflects their needs and values.

Project HOPE Chapter at Hunter
The purpose of this club is to serve as a chapter of Project HOPE, a charitable organization that partners with communities, healthcare systems, and physicians to heal people and save lives, while empowering healthcare workers to create a healthier, more equitable world. Project HOPE responds to a wide array of international and domestic healthcare issues, including current infectious diseases, noncommunicable diseases, health inequities, natural disasters, global health insecurity, and maternal and neonatal health. As a chapter, we want to support Project HOPE’s mission by hosting monthly workshops with visitor Project HOPE speakers and doctors to educate the student community at Hunter College and expose pre-health students to the field. We hope to endorse equity, diversity, and inclusion in healthcare by hosting campaigns and fundraisers to directly assist in change and innovation, by creating a monthly newsletter for members, and by allowing students to volunteer for the cause (and receive a letter of reference from the organization).
Project Smile Global
Project Smile Global is a student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting oral health disparities worldwide. Our mission is to provide access to oral healthcare for underprivileged communities around the globe. We are a team of dedicated volunteers who believe that everyone deserves a healthy smile. We work towards this goal by organizing dental events, providing basic oral care education, and advocating for better oral health policies at the local and national levels. Queer Student Union
To ensure a safe environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Intersex, Asexual, Queer, Pansexual, and others (recognizing that our community is always growing – referred to herein as “LGBTQ+”) persons of all backgrounds and their allies by establishing a space free of sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and religionism.
Street Homeless Advocacy Project at Hunter College
SHAP is a community of students dedicated to ending homelessness through outreach and advocacy. We give unhoused New Yorkers access to forms of transitional housing and foster real connections with them to improve their lives.
Student Veteran’s Club of Hunter College
The Club is a non-political, non-profit organization that brings people together through our shared respect, and desire to learn about and help our nation’s heroes; many of whom are our friends and classmates. This organization shall exist for the following purposes: (1) To provide a specific forum for student veterans affiliated with Hunter College that they may celebrate their unique experience, share their wealth of knowledge and unique perspectives, and lead others by their example. (2) To provide a safe, cooperative, and engaging environment for students who have no affiliation with the armed forces to engage with a group they may have little opportunity to engage with otherwise. (3) To support and recognize the service members of the United States Armed Forces, and their family members.
Afghan Student Association of Hunter College:
Foster a supportive community for Afghan students, celebrate and preserve Afghan culture, and raise awareness on important issues affecting the Afghan diaspora. It would also foster cross-cultural exchanges, advocacy, and educational opportunities.

The purpose of African Student Union is to represent and spread the rich culture and history of the African Continent to the Hunter College Community, as well as come together as a diverse group of people to uphold the values we share.
Asian Student Union
The purpose of the Asian Student Union is to provide an inclusive space for promoting Asian cultures by exploring the Asian American identity, celebrating the achievements of Asians in America, and addressing harmful stereotypes. We will endorse our space to advance collaboration and unity among all Asian clubs. Doing so, we will enrich our student body by becoming a source of discussion and building a greater social consciousness on critical issues that impact Asian communities.
Bengali Student Association of Hunter College
The Bengali Student Association (BSA) aims to promote and celebrate the diverse cultures, traditions, and academic achievements of Bengali and South Asian students at Hunter College. BSA strives to create a supportive and inclusive community that fosters cultural awareness, intellectual growth, and social engagement through various educational, and social activities. BSA is also focused on community engagement through academic support and celebrate Bengali excellence.
Black Student Union
Our mission is to be actively involved in the education and stimulation of the black student body. This is done not only through advocating for the dismantlement of pre-existing issues we face but, by providing a space and platform for black students to express themselves. We aim to build a warm community where our presence is not questioned despite our various backgrounds
Chinese Students & Scholars Association
CSSA is a small group of people who have been brought together by fate, we want to start a club to pursue our goals. Our Club will build a complementary platform for students who are interested in Chinese culture and promote Chinese culture to students with different backgrounds. It’s a community for students to cherish their culture. Our club members come from different majors and will find friends with similar interests, which will help students better integrate into college life and to some extent help their mental health.
Ecuadorian Student Union:
The Ecuadorian Student Union at Hunter College fosters cultural enrichment and cross-cultural understanding by creating an inclusive community for students of Ecuadorian and diverse backgrounds to celebrate and explore their heritage while promoting unity and cultural awareness on campus.
French Club
The French Club of Hunter College aims to provide members with opportunities to practice speaking and listening in the French language through conversations, and to promote understanding and appreciation of the francophone culture through cultural nights, cooking classes, movie nights and discussions about traditions and customs. The French Club would like to create a supportive community where members can meet like-minded individuals, share resources, and motivate each other. To make language learning enjoyable!

Japanese Club
The purpose of the Japanese Club is to foster interest in Japanese culture for students who would like to learn more about it, regardless if they have taken language or culture courses at the college level or not.
Korean Student Association
The mission of the Korean Students Association of Hunter College, a non-profit student run organization, shall be to promote Korean culture through cultural, social, political, and community service events. Our activities would range from providing informal social functions to promoting our educational and cultural foundation, which are intrinsically non-political and non-discriminating in nature. It is our belief that being away from our homeland should not compel us to lose our identity. It is our convicted intent through this association to not only enrich each other’s lives, but also to introduce our culture and extend our goodwill to other fellow students. We will also promote on and off-campus activities and is about giving back to the community. KSA is a resource to many students to market themselves for the purpose of future opportunities. As a member of KSA, students will be able to network themselves to others in different schools and majors by participating in events and meetings.

To ensure a safe environment for Latinx and non-Latinx to learn the history behind different forms of dancing. In addition, provides a safe space for students to learn how to dance these different forms.

Mexican Student Union
Our goal is to create a social and educational club in which everyone can share and celebrate the beauty of Mexico with our community here at Hunter. By establishing a community, we plan on creating awareness and educating others about ongoing issues in our country as well as cultural diversity within Mexico. We hope to simultaneously create a space in which members can network and form part of our Mexican familia!
Middle Eastern and North African Student Association of Hunter
The purpose of the Middle Eastern and North African Student Association is to create a sense of community for Middle Eastern and North African students while also providing opportunities for individuals who are not from these backgrounds to learn more about the rich cultures and traditions of the Middle East and North Africa region.
Pakistani Student Organization
The purpose of this club is to bring a community of Pakistani students together and create a safe space for them to connect. We want to inform people about current events in Pakistan and raise awareness and fund-raise for tragedies in Pakistan due to climate change etc.(recently there was a natural disaster which affected 30% of Pakistan's land and displaced millions).
We also want to teach people about Pakistani culture such as native foods from each of the four provinces, music that differs as you travel across Pakistan and the way the style of dance vary from region to region. Pakistan is a country of many ethnicities, culture and language, it is nice to bring a sense of unity for Pakistanis at Hunter College.
Peruvian Student Association:
Peruvian Student Association of Hunter College aims to celebrate and promote Peruvian culture, heritage, and traditions within the college community. Our mission is to create a welcoming space for students of Peruvian descent and those interested in Peruvian culture to connect, share experiences, and support one another. We strive to educate the broader community about the rich history and diverse culture of Peru through cultural events, academic discussions, and community service.
Pilipinos of Hunter
Pilipinos of Hunter is committed to establish an inclusive community that celebrates Filipino culture, history and values. We organize workshops and networking opportunities with other communities that creates a more significant presence of Filipino-Americans. Through the knowledge and resources provided by the club we also hope to nurture the personal and cultural growth of our members.
Shikari Dance Team
The purpose of the Shikari Dance Team at Hunter College is to promote cultural diversity and awareness through the different styles of South Asian dance. The dance styles include but are not limited to Bollywood, Bhangra, Bharatnatyam, Kathak, etcetera. The team will perform and represent Hunter College at on/off-campus events & competitions as well as actively volunteering to give back to the growing diverse community.
South Asian Cultural Club
The South Asian Cultural Club (SACC) looks to provide a space for the undergraduate students at Hunter where they can appreciate and express the South Asian Culture. We are focused on our purpose to spread knowledge about our culture and are open to sharing it with the diverse community at Hunter College.
Spanish Club
Section I – To improve and practice the Spanish language and Hispanic culture within Hunter College.

Taiwanese Student Association
The purpose of the club is to promote interest and an understanding of Taiwanese culture within the student body. There will be an environment in which students of all backgrounds can appreciate and learn more about their cultures through a mutual understanding.
Turkish Club
The Turkish Club of Hunter College is dedicated to fostering cultural appreciation, connection, and understanding, our club provides an inclusive space for students interested in Turkish language, heritage, and traditions. Through engaging events, language workshops, and cultural exchanges, we aim to enrich the Hunter College community by celebrating Turkey's rich history, cuisine, arts, and more.
Ukrainian Club of Hunter
Ukrainian Club of Hunter is a club for students to bring the college community together to learn about Ukrainian culture, history and connect students who have interest in the culture. Ukrainian Club of Hunter aims at providing the students with the safe space to learn about the above mentioned things and get support through events and get-togethers. Additionally, we hope to form a more united college community where students can connect with others of similar interests and become strong, informed, and interdisciplinary students through having events with other culture clubs at Hunter.
Uzbek Hawks of Hunter College
Uzbek Hawks is dedicated to creating a community for Uzbek individuals to collaborate, network and get to know one another. We want to provide a safe space to foster a better understanding of Uzbek culture and heritage while striving to uplift our members with a plethora of resources and opportunities along the way.
Vietnamese Student Association
Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) at Hunter College serves to unite anyone with an affinity for and to promote Vietnamese culture and generate a community at Hunter College. We explore various volunteering and leadership opportunities through involvement with other Vietnamese and Asian organizations. With unity as the heart of this club, Hunter VSA will enable and develop stronger networks and community ties.
Catholic John Henry Newman Club
The CSA is a Catholic ministry whose primary mission is to serve the Hunter College, City University of New York community. We are called by Christ to build a faith community. Empowered by the Holy Spirit to be truly compassionate disciples, we are committed to the truth of the Gospel.
Good Samaritan Club at Hunter College
The Good Samaritan is a student-led organization at Hunter College that seeks to share and live out the teachings of the Bible through Bible studies, seminars, and volunteer work. Inspired by the character and compassion of the Good Samaritan, we emphasize qualities like empathy, unity, and service.
As modern-day Samaritans, we are committed to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals through our S.A.V.E. mission: Social Services, Advocacy and Awareness, Victim Relief, and Environmental Protection. Our goal is to create a positive impact on campus and in the wider Manhattan community.
Hillel
The goal of Hillel is to provide activities and a sense of community for all Jewish students on campus, with activities such as community service, educational programs about Judaism and Israel, and social events.
Hindu Students Association
The goal of the Hindu Students Association is to create a space where people can learn about Hinduism through meetings and events. It also gives them an opportunity to meet other people and a space where they can feel comfortable practicing their religion.
Illyrian Hawks
The purpose of this organization is to provide a space for Albanian students from any region to express themselves and connect with peers who share similar backgrounds or interests. It also serves as a welcoming environment for non-Albanian students interested in the culture, offering opportunities to become more involved and learn about the traditions of the Balkan regions.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
The purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture, and God’s purposes in the world.
Muslims Giving Back
Muslims Giving Back (MGB) combines Dawah and service to aid our communities using Islamic fundamentals.
Muslim Student Association
The purpose of the Muslim Student Association shall be to provide an organization where Muslims can assemble for prayer, community, and information about Islam. We shall also provide information to other Hunter College students about Islam and Muslims, and work towards dispelling any and all misconceptions about them in the community.
Reformed University Fellowship
To provide Christian fellowship for our brothers and sisters in Christ at Hunter, to reach students at Hunter for Christ, to love and to serve Hunter College through our Christian witness, and preach Jesus Christ as the Risen Redeemer of Creation (Matthew 28:16-20). 2. To be (at the time of chartering) the sole Christian club at CUNY Hunter College with a doctrinal emphasis on the Reformed faith, as expressed in the historic creeds, Westminster Confession, and the “Five Solas:”

Sikh Student Association
The purpose of the Sikh Student Association is to raise awareness and grow appreciation for the religion of Sikhism among the Hunter College community.

The Dance Now Club was formed in Fall 2013 as the umbrella organization for ALL of the pre-existing dance clubs. The purpose of Dance Now is to bring the dance interests of the individual clubs mentioned above together as a collective organization.
Gen K K-Pop Dance Cover Team at Hunter College
Gen-K is a K-Pop Dance Cover Team at Hunter College that establishes a community for individuals with a passion for K-Pop choreography. Members will have the opportunity to collaborate on learning and filming multiple K-Pop dance covers throughout the semester. The team will represent Hunter College in on and off-campus events, competitions, and performances.
Ghunghur
The purpose of Ghunghur is to encourage everyone, both dancers and non-dancers, to learn and participate in performing South Asian dance. These concentrate on regions such as Mumbai, Dhaka, Sylhet, and Kolkata, as well as styles like classical, folk, manipuri, etcetera. Our club promotes inclusivity by being no-cut, meaning one does not need to audition to be a part of the club. To be an official member or to perform at an event, one must have attended at least 3 dance workshop sessions.
Hawkappella Club
The purpose of our club is to rehearse weekly and perform various contemporary music using only our voices to promote creativity and spread positive messages.
Intonation
The Intonation Club was formed in Fall 2013 as the umbrella organization for ALL of the pre-existing music clubs. The purpose of Intonation is to bring the musical interests of the individual dubs mentioned above together as a collective organization.
Music is Medicine
Music is Medicine is a community of student-musicians interested in healthcare and community service. Members sing or play an instrument for patients in New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell. Performing for patients is a highly rewarding experience; music is known to reduce patient stress while brightening the hospital atmosphere. For pre-health students, this club serves as a creative outlet outside of the STEM coursework and is a great opportunity to gain clinical experience.

Hunter Theatre Company provides students with the opportunity to explore and gain experience in the performing arts through workshops, seminars, events, and student lead productions.

The purpose of the Virsa Bhangra (dance) Club, is to allow students with a Punjabi background to reconnect with their culture and also provide opportunity for all the students at Hunter College to explore and appreciate Punjabi culture and traditions through dance.

Pre Health Diaries is an online blog and club for students to be informed about different issues in science and medicine, such as the ethics of science in technology and awareness of public health crises. Project Sunshine
Project Sunshine empowers a dynamic and dedicated corps of over 15,000 volunteers to bring programming – recreational (arts), educational (tutoring and mentoring) and social service (HIV and nutritional counseling) – to over 100,000 children facing medical challenges and their families in 100 major cities across the United States and in five international satellite sites: Canada, China, Israel, Kenya and Puerto Rico.
ALPFA Hunter-Association of Latino Professionals for America
The purpose of the club is provide students with career development by hosting weekly workshops and events. It is inclusive and open to everyone, fostering a supportive, no-judgment environment.

Our club’s purpose is to showcase the benefits of art both for mental health and for career’s sake. Art is often a hobby used to relieve stress. It can be used to entertain patients and is a recognized form of relief to alleviate tension. The mission of Chit Chaat is to: A. Learn about the history of this widely popular South Asian delicacy (Chaat). B. Appreciate the diversity of chaat by exploring the various types of chaat: samosa, aloo, fruit, channa, papri, paneer, rasgulla, dahi bhalla, chicken tikka, and corn and pomegranate chaat. C. Allow students to “chit chaat” by socializing and chatting while eating chaat. D. Create a social club for students to destress, talk, and make friends all while learning and enjoying this extremely popular south asian delicacy. The Esports and Game Design Collective is a professional organization in nature, connecting students from different departments and majors that have like-minded interests in games and the games industry. We host events and tournaments, Dungeons & Dragons meetups, and have a library of over 450 games free to use. We hold game design workshops open to all Hunter College students, as well as academic advising for students studying game design at Hunter. We are also home to all of Hunter’s esports teams. We are a registered College League of Legends club, and an academic chapter of the International Game Developers Association.

Healthcare Business Club of Hunter College is a secular, student-operated volunteer organization whose mission is to promote the image of Hunter College as an institution that produces leaders who have an impact on the business of health care. The purpose of the Helpful Joy Club at Hunter College is to empower students to actively contribute to their local and virtual communities by engaging in various volunteer activities. These activities include beach cleanups, assisting the elderly, virtual tutoring, spreading positivity online, and partnering with organizations that promote volunteerism. Safety is a core principle of the club, with all members required to undergo safety training before participating in any volunteer work. Members must demonstrate a clear understanding of safety protocols, including the prevention of sexual harassment, violence, and hate crimes, ensuring that all actions are conducted with care and respect. Investment & Trading Society aims to cultivate connections among Hunter College students who are interested in learning about the fundamentals of investing. Knitted Knockers at Hunter College
The club's purpose is to partner with Knitted Knockers Support Foundation, and members will volunteer to knit/crochet breast prosthetics for breast cancer survivors. In addition, the club will hold breast cancer workshops to raise awareness and educate members. Lastly, the club hopes to connect with clinics and doctors near Hunter College and supply them with Knitted Knockers for their patients.
Men of Color Association at Hunter
The purpose of the Men of Color Association at Hunter shall be to promote scholarship, community, and mentorship for men of color on the campus of CUNY Hunter College. Members of this club will strive to achieve academic merit while providing students with resources to perform well in their academic endeavors. This club will provide a safe space for men of color to excel socially, emotionally, academically, and professionally. Mentorship will be provided by members of this club to prepare men of color to navigate work environments and personal relationships while exhibiting the characteristics of leadership and integrity Through scholarship, community, and mentorship, the Men of Color Association at Hunter will empower Hunter students to succeed in all respects.
Mission Nutrition
The club's purpose is to educate students about what it means to eat healthy/ create healthy eating habits, sharing recipes, fitness advice, exploring community health, food insecurity, tackling nutrition myths and hard topics like food gentrification and eating disorders through information sessions and guest speakers.
Mock Trial Society
A mock trial is an act or imitation trial, using real legal circumstances, evidence, and witnesses. Attorneys preparing for a real trial will use a mock trial consisting of volunteers as role players to test theories, persuade the jury to rule in favor of the client they are representing, and master the legal side of courtroom proceedings.

Act as a liaison between the administration and student-athletes, thereby providing student-athletes with a voice in the Athletic Department decision-making process. Encourage and facilitate the involvement of student-athletes in campus and community issues. Provide a forum to discuss and generate positions on NCAA legislation. Young Democratic Socialist at Hunter College
We are the Hunter College chapter of the Young Democratic Socialists of America. Our goal is to organize for Democratic Socialism on the campus of Hunter College. We are fighting for a better world, free from exploitation where everyone has access to human rights such as healthcare, housing and education.
These clubs have had their recognition revoked by Hunter College for various reasons and/or failure to comply with Hunter College policies and expectations.
While under suspension, these clubs may not reserve space, host events and activities, draw funds, intake new members or other privileges extended to active clubs on campus.

Africana Puerto Rican/Latino Studies Club
The purpose of this organization is to promote greater cohesion among AFRPL majors and minors as well as increased awareness of pertinent issues by the larger Hunter community. The Club aims to present an alternative analysis of the Black and Puerto Rican/Latino experience while broadening academic and professional interest in the disciplines. The Club will be a forum for students to discuss historical and contemporary issues pertinent to the AFPRL experience.
American Chemical Society
To educate, inspire, and spread awareness of chemistry and its role in everyday life. Our goal is to increase scientific thinking and advance the practice of chemistry.
American Medical Student Association
To enrich the academic and professional development of underrepresented minority pre-health students, and the undergraduate students, thereby equipping those with the knowledge, skills and experiences that will produce competitive candidates for professional health related programs, who are better prepared to become successful participants at various health and graduate professions. To increase underrepresented minority participation in all professional health and graduate related programs, with an emphasis on medicine. To provide opportunities that will render AMSA members knowledgeable of the admissions processes and allow a means of networking with other students at various levels. To provide opportunities to develop leadership, foster mentoring relationships, and to develop strong membership bonds. To facilitate interactions between AMSA members, pre-professional advisors and faculty/staff members of professional schools, enabling for more effective means of recruitment, identification of mentors and resources, and matriculation intro to institutions.
Anthropology Club
Primary among the objectives of the Anthropology Club is to provide a forum for the discussion of issues relating to the discipline of anthropology, including, but not limited to the sub-disciplines of sociocultural anthropology, biological/physical anthropology, archaeology, and linguistics. Dissemination of current information and event in the city relating to these fields is also a goal of the organization. It is also the intent of the club to offer student peer-advising to students of the club and department in each of the four fields, due to their distinctive and diverse natures. Advising will focus on explaining the nature of the fields, opportunities, and preparation for graduate study.

Astronomy and Physics Society
Astronomy and Physics Society of Hunter College is a secular, student-operated academic organization. Our mission is to foster a community of students interested in pursuing a career in Physics or Astronomy and to welcome all other students interested in the wide range of subjects within Astronomy, Physics, and Astrophysics. We will help students apply to laboratories and match them with mentors that have common interests. We also aim to use our club as a platform for Physicists to talk about their own research and present the different fields of Physics. The purpose of The Clinical Research Society is to enrich students with knowledge of prevailing clinical innovations and discoveries. Members will be able to read clinical based research articles and discuss all the information. As well as how to conduct research on their own and write papers. This will give a chance for students to gain research experience on a beginner level.
Developer Student Club
The purpose of the Developer Student Club (“DSC”) will be to impact and empower students through understanding, using, and reflecting about technology. DSC will host information sessions, hands-on workshops, and student-community collaborative projects centered around the latest and greatest in technology, all with the support of Google and Google Developers.
Economics Club
The Economics Club wants to create an open and welcoming space where members can share and enhance their knowledge of economics.
Geography Club
The purpose of the Geo Club is to stimulate interest in the geosciences and the environment while promoting the personal and professional development of its student members. To act as a liaison between Geography and Geology majors and minors of Hunter College, CUNY; and to promote and sponsor club activities, which include but are not limited to: Field excursions to areas of regional geologic or geographic significance. Planning social gatherings that foster friendships among students as well as informal student/ faculty interactions in order to strengthen and expand the university experience of our student-members.
Global Surgery Student Alliance at Hunter College
Our vision is to open doors to sustainable and accessible surgical care worldwide. Therefore, our mission statement is to educate, inspire, and unite students through engagement and mentorship in global surgery. We expect to educate our fellow students on healthcare and sustainable interventions. This includes the importance of including surgery as part of basic healthcare, importance of access to safe and timely surgery as a global health issue, and the economic and socioeconomic implications of implementing global surgery on especially low-income, middle-income communities, and low resource areas. We expect to facilitate communication and mentorship between students and current global surgeons. The purpose of the Linguistics Association is to foster a sense of community among Hunter students who are studying or interested in linguistics, and to provide a forum for scholarly discussion and debate regarding the scientific study of language.
Machine Learning
Machine Learning is ubiquitous in our society today and its crucial for students to understand the inner workings, especially if they are pursuing computer science jobs. The goal of this club is to make students more knowledgeable from new projects that will be done weekly while creating open source code that we can post to our Github accounts. The Github aspect of this club is crucial for future internships and job applications in the computer science world. This club will benefit anyone who joins, give them great experience, allow for more job opportunities, and overall it will be outright fun for anyone who wants to create projects daily.

Out in STEM
The purposes of oSTEM at Hunter are to establish an inclusive and supportive community for LGBTQ+ STEM students, to educate and promote awareness of LGBTQ+ health issues, and to promote LGBTQ+ visibility in STEM field.
Philosophy Club
The overarching aim of the club is to maintain a community of students for the exchange of philosophical ideas in the conviction that learning and philosophy are one and the same pursuit. The invitation of ideas from individuals of every discipline and background is furthermore to be encouraged, for philosophy need not be restricted by the institutions and traditions that have gathered around it. Students intending to pursue careers in academic scholarship and teaching in philosophy are of special interest to the club. Efforts are made to orient and otherwise prepare students by providing information about the kinds of challenges experienced by professionals living and working in the field.
Pre-Health Organization
The purpose of the Pre-Health Organization is to 1.) Provide Pre-Health students of all various academic backgrounds with information and skills necessary to make them strong applicants for pre-health graduate schools. 2.) To be the conduit between the pre-health students, pre-health advisors, and the administrators of various health professional schools. 3.) To build a network and team of students that will build and sustain their community through various acts of connection and community service.

To provide pertinent resources, support, information, guidance, and a sense of community to current and prospective post-baccalaureate students.
Pre-Law Society
The Pre-Law Society fosters an extracurricular environment for students on the pre-law track or interested in learning about law school. It also supports Hunter College’s Pre-Law Office and its director with event coordination, promotion, and execution. We are responsible for coordinating the annual law school trip and have meetings every week.
Pre-Optometry Society
The purpose of this organization is to enrich the academic and professional development of Hunter College students who are interested in the field of optometry. This club is for both students who aspire for a potential career in optometry or are just looking for a way to broaden their career options. The means by which this organization will achieve the academic enrichment of its members will be by providing them with an abundance of knowledge, professional resources, experiences, and skills. Different shadowing opportunities and research programs related to this field will be offered to the club’s members. This club also plans on providing first-hand experience to its members by adding a community service component.

SEEDs is a group focused on promoting the field of ecology, sustainability, and environmental sciences at Hunter College.
Society for Physics and Astronomy
The purpose of SPA is to encourage and facilitate the knowledge and understanding of Physics and Astronomy in varying formal and informal settings as well as hold activities that increase interest in and knowledge of both aforementioned fields.
Bangladesh Development Project
BDP at HC is a student-led group that partners with the 501(c)3 non-profit charity Bangladesh Development Project to fundraise, advocate, spread awareness, and aid, on behalf of men, women and children of Bangladesh. Furthermore, this club serves as a space for students who care about Bangladesh to discuss their visions for Bangladesh’s development. The club is supported by the non-profit Bangladesh Development Project’s staff and it will be part of one of many future campaigns. The purpose of BDP-HC is to shed light on the injustices imposed on underprivileged children in Bangladesh, unjust labor laws, unequal educational opportunities, and healthcare inequities by fundraising for various causes and to raise awareness regarding the above mentioned key topics.
Blood Initiative of Hunter
The mission of Blood Initiative of Hunter is to work towards ending blood shortages to prevent more unnecessary deaths. The purpose of this University Blood Initiative (UBI) Chapter, therefore, is to empower the local community blood center by increasing the participation of Hunter students. Furthermore, BIH would hold educational events to raise awareness of the current blood shortage and blood disorders. BIH will be benefiting the Hunter community through incentives such as discounts through partnerships with various organizations.
Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB x Hunter)
The CMMB x Hunter Club partners with CMMB, a global health nonprofit organization, to advocate and bring attention to the lack of proper healthcare women and children face in the developing world.
We hope to help educate students, raise awareness levels, fundraise, and provide practical, real-life experience for students with interests in pre-health, public policy, international relations, and public health.
Effective Altruism Club at Hunter College
The purpose of this club is to promote awareness of the social movement/philosophy of Effective Altruism while also engaging in discourse about how to help people in the most resourceful and efficient ways possible. The club will facilitate discussion between individuals regarding value systems, cause prioritization, and career choices. The goal is to gain support for Effective Altruism while simultaneously exploring different, important questions about how to help the world.

The club's purpose is to cultivate a community that makes women feel more confident in their STEM career pursuits. We will practice things like public speaking, leadership skills, as well as provide networking opportunities and how to manage stress due to being in the STEM field.

Hear Your Song, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that empowers children and teens with serious illnesses and complex health needs to make their voices heard through collaborative songwriting. Kids living with significant health challenges need the chance to show the world — and sometimes to hear for themselves, too — that they are more than their diagnoses.
In live, collaborative songwriting sessions, Hear Your Song volunteers work with children and teens to guide them through the process of writing their own song lyrics. Using the kid songwriter’s ideas for musical style, melody, instrumentation, and tempo, volunteer composers and musicians then set those words to music and record the song to be heard, celebrated, and shared.

National Alzheimer’s Buddies at Hunter College
The National Alzheimer's Buddies are a national organization that connects undergraduate students to patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Through our chapter we will be able to coordinate with nearby Dementia-Care facilities to pair students with patients, creating influential friendships and easing a lot of the social isolation that comes with Alzheimer's Disease. The National Alzheimer’s Buddies seek to alleviate the often-overlooked emotional and social challenges that stem from Alzheimer’s by building friendships between college students and Alzheimer’s residents that bring out the beauty of the person still present.
Peer Health Exchange
Peer Health Exchange’s mission is to empower young people with the knowledge, skills and resources to make healthy decisions. We do this by training college students to teach a skills-based health curriculum in under-resourced high schools.
Pre-Health for Human Rights Society at Hunter
The Pre-Health for Human Rights Society was inspired by the non-profit organization Physicians for Human Rights. Our purpose is to work at the intersection of medicine, science, and law to secure human rights and justice for all. In particular, health professionals are uniquely positioned to prevent serious human rights violations. We aim to really bring light to many of the human rights issues occurring around us and globally, as well as creating a welcoming space for pre-health students who are interested in interdisciplinary studies. PHHR aims to focus on the relationship between people, society, human rights, and medicine by collaborating with human rights agencies to provide volunteer, internship, and research opportunities for students interested in human rights and health professions.

To mobilize individuals at Hunter College to join our petition drive and voice their support for the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment. We firmly believe that every individual, regardless of their gender, deserves equal protection under the law. We aim to exert pressure and demand action on this critical constitutional amendment.
Sexual Wellness Society of Hunter College
The purpose of this association is to initiate discussions of sexual wellness and how it concerns students of Hunter college. There will be events where trained professional guest speakers can talk about their experiences and provide advice for Hunter students. We hope to create a safe, curious, and welcoming environment for students to discuss, share experiences, and express feelings toward topics related to sexual wellness.

The purpose of STF at Hunter College is to fight for a world where every girl chooses her own future. We team up with local organizations to make sure girls are educated, respected, and heard. STF at Hunter College raises awareness on girls’ rights and education, hosts fundraisers, and builds a community of gender equality advocates.
Sustainability Project
The purpose of the Sustainability Project is to educate the Hunter community about sustainability in a variety of forms. We seek to spread awareness about environmental issues, teach people how to reduce their environmental impact, and how each individual’s choice can affect the environment on a larger scale. We hope to educate and inform about sustainable growth, which meets the needs of the present without compromising the capacity of future generations to meet their own needs.
UNICEF Campus Initiative
UNICEF Campus Initiative and High School Clubs are grassroots, student-led groups that partner with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to educate, advocate and fundraise on behalf of children and in support of UNICEF’s lifesaving work. The clubs are supported by U.S. Fund for UNICEF staff and by a student-led National Council. The purpose of the UNICEF Initiative at Hunter College is to fundraise for various causes and raise awareness regarding UNICEF-related issues.
United for Youth
United for Youth is dedicated to improving the lives of children and teens currently in foster care. Our purpose is to advocate for them by spreading awareness of the obstacles they go through, helping them feel confident and secure, and providing them the needs for their success. By partnering with different organizations, we plan to help foster care children and teens create a brighter future for themselves. This is an excellent way to give back to our future generation.

The purpose of the organization shall be to promote the rich culture, language, customs and traditions of the Albanian people.
Arab Studies Club
The purpose of this club is to give students of Arab descent at Hunter the space to celebrate and share their culture with the rest of the Arab community; while also introducing Arab culture to the rest of campus to promote unity and inclusivity.

Asians Students in Action (ASIA)

Balkan Club
The Balkan region of the world is one that is rich with culture and tradition that derives from many origins. The goal of the Balkan club is to create a safe space to discuss all that the people of the Balkan region face. We aim to provide students with a better understanding of the Balkan Culture, region, language(s), customs and traditions, and issues that we face. We want students to become more culturally aware of the Balkan nations and their history. The goal of the club is to promote unity amongst the Balkan population on campus, although we do target the Balkan population, we do encourage all Hunter students to join the club and contribute to the lively conversations and events the club plans on hosting.

The main purpose of this club is to create a space for students to foster their own personal development not only with regards to their understanding of Chinese language and culture, but also on a professional level. This club will serve as a place where members can learn about a culture different from their own, meet students with common interests, participate in activities and events and practice Mandarin. The club will open students up to new opportunities, expand their knowledge about the world around them, promote leadership qualities and resume building experiences and prepare them for the world at large.

Chinese students are minority groups at Hunter College; the purpose of establishing the Chinese Student Union is to provide them the opportunity to expand their social network. The mission of the club is to provide those Chinese students with academic aid and personal help.

A safe space for family to enrich our cultures. Several events are held throughout the year, and the room is a space for discussion and games.
Francophone Culture and Language Club
The general purpose of this organization is to provide an in-depth look into the various cultures of countries and groups that identify with the Francophone Culture. Students will be able to learn some of the Francophone language and delve into holidays, cuisine, traditions, media, and customs within these Francophone nations and their history. One of the running themes and major points would be that France is not the only country that speaks French, hence the indication that it has a Francophone culture. That being said, this club will focus on traditions from Francophone countries all over the world. Another purpose of this club will be to offer the chance to experience Francophone culture in NYC through excursions. The goal of this club is to educate and excite students about the Francophone culture and language.
German Club
The purpose of the German Club of Hunter College is to enrich other students on one of the largest cultures/languages in the world, German. We will help achieve this by interacting with technology and the real world.
Haitian Student Association
The mission and purpose of the Haitian Students Association (“HSA”, “the Association”, “the Club”, “the Organization”) is to 1) unite Haitian and non-Haitian students together through the exploration of Haitian culture, identity, & politics, 2) abolish stereotypes and misconceptions of the Haitian people and culture by means of education through panels, seminars, meetings, and other social functions, 3) support and promote social development through group activities, 4) establish stronger ties between Haitian students and faculties, 5) create leaders and world changers by providing its members with the leadership skills necessary to excel beyond their college career, and 6) promote a civic involvement culture amongst HSA members.

To foster an appreciation of the Italian language and culture through uniting a multi-cultural and diverse student body. In addition to heighten awareness regarding the Italian experience in America. To provide the Hunter community with an enhanced understanding of the culture through an array of initiatives such as lectures, symposiums, film screenings, dialogical conversation, performing arts, and other modes of expression. To build a safe environment to educate, celebrate, and experience the culture stemming from the different countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Polish Cultural Club
We want to promote awareness and appreciation of Polish culture at Hunter College since there is no other school in New York that has a higher Polish population than Hunter College. We want to bring everyone who loves Polish culture together and we will be a club that will reflect an important part of a student and help reaffirm their own identity by sharing traditions and values.
Russian Club
The purpose of the Russian Club is to enrich students with knowledge of Russian culture and traditions by way of cultural events, such as, but not limited to, films, food, outings, discussions, and guest speakers. We will offer this opportunity to club members via on-campus events and throughout New York City.
Southwest Asian and North African Women Association
The South West Asian and North African Women Association is an effort to build a community within Hunter that supports and recognizes the achievements of women from the SWANA region. It will also allow for the education and appreciation of the unique yet intertwined cultures and history of the region.
Chinese Christian Fellowship
To introduce Christianity to students of Hunter College, to help members understand more about Christianity, to build up one another, and provide a place for Christian students of Hunter College to have weekly meetings.
Coptic Club
The purpose of this club is to learn about and embrace Coptic heritage. Copts were the last remaining native Egyptians before the Arab invasion of Egypt during the 7th century. Their heritage continued through their intermarriage within their own communities. Today, about 15% of Egypt is comprised of Copts and they are associated with Orthodox Christianity. Therefore they are an ethnoreligious group. Their language is still in use today in the Coptic Orthodox Church. Members will learn about Copts and participate in activities that are related to the Coptic Culture and Heritage. They will come together to create a sense of community and belonging at hunter college.

Animal Behavior & Conservation Club
The mission of this organization is to support the program of Animal Behavior and Conservation in the Psychology Department at Hunter College. This club will serve as a space to discuss research and research proposals, homework issues, share ideas, and provide assistance on future class recommendations. As this program attracts many commuters and part-time students who are otherwise employed full-time, this club will serve as a forum to help students familiarize themselves with the Animal Behavior and Conservation program and come together to share their collective interest in this field.

This club is designed to provide Hunter College’s Graduate students with both collective information from its student body as well as have a consistent contact with faculty to make sure all counseling program information is accurate and available. The purpose of the Macro Social Work Student Network is to develop a geographically diverse network of and for macro-practice social work undergraduate and graduate students to: Share and augment macro practice knowledge; maintain self-awareness of macro practice as a minority method in the social work field; share our work with the rest of the social work field.
Master Fine Art Student Organization (MFASO)
The goal of the MFASO is to build community and enrich the culture within the MFA program, to act as representation of students’ concerns to the faculty and administration, and to improve facilities and resources for studio practice.
Mind Body Spirit Alliance
The purpose of the Mind Body Spirit Alliance is to provide a consistent safe space, or community, for students wherein they can explore, develop, and foster healthy self-care practices that integrate the mind, body, and spirit. The club aims to empower (social work) students in balancing the stressors of academic courses with the demands of field placement by supplying a forum for collaboratively engaging with mindfulness practices, such as meditation and yoga. We wish to expose social work graduate students to a range of traditional and not-so-traditional techniques that may not be covered in regular coursework. This goal is currently accomplished through weekly meetings, largely centered around guided meditations and shared resources. The alliance provides an opportunity for students with similar interests to meet, practice self-care and share relevant ideas and information.

The National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association aims to advocate for those treated within the scope of speech-language pathology and audiology by raising awareness about communication sciences and disorders.
Silberman Gender & Sexuality Coalition
The mission of the Gender & Sexuality Coalition (GSC) at Silberman School of Social Work is to educate, empower, and promote awareness of the gender and sexuality spectrum throughout cultures, both in school and our surrounding communities. Our goal is to create an environment and set a tone within school surrounding issues of gender and sexuality for professional development, building transparency between faculty and students needs, and to provide students with access to resources on and off campus.
Student Alliance for an Aging Society (SAAS)
The purposes of SAAS are: 1. To build interest among Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College students and staff about the field of gerontology and aging; 2. The Argentine Tango Club is formed by and for tango lovers at Hunter College. We are dedicated to teaching Argentine tango to the students of Hunter College and exposing them to all the benefits that tango has to offer.
Breakdance Club
The purpose of this organization is to expand the dance of breaking and the Hip-Hop culture within the Hunter College Community. We can accomplish this by sharing our knowledge about not only the dance itself but also its origin and history with anyone who is interested and willing to learn to put in effort. We also want to improve on an individual level as well as a group level in practices so that we can perform and expose our art form to the community through collective representation.
Garba-Raas at Hunter College
The purpose of this club is to spread awareness about and to form a functional competitive team that focuses on the style of dance called Garba and Raas. This traditional type of dance originated in Gujarat, India. Dance teams, all across America, have recreated this traditional dance and transformed it into something modern and fast-paced. We aim to form a team that is recognized and competes at competitions across the country throughout the year! Dancers need not be of the Indian background, nor do they need any previous dance experience.
Haitian Drumming Workshop
Our purpose is to provide instruction in traditional Afro-Haitian drumming for any Hunter College undergraduate student who desires such instruction, and to present a positive image of Haiti through its music. The organization serves the Hunter Community by promoting its diversity.
HAP (Happenings, Arts, Presence)
As Hunter students we constantly face the struggle of balancing our lives and our progression as artists. We believe it is imperative to build a community of like-minded people who want to grow creatively. HAP’s mission is to support the development of visual artists at Hunter College through group critiques, exhibitions and events.
Hip HopOlogy
The purpose of the Hip HopOlogy club aims to educate students about the culture of hip hop dance that started here in NYC. The genres of dance that will be covered are B-Boy/ Girl (also known as Break Dancing) and other styles of Hip Hop that started in the West Coast such as Popping, Locking, Tutting and Waving. I feel it is essential that the Hunter College community learn these revolutionary styles of dance that has changed the dance world. The club will also enhance students’ physical strength and relieve stress using different stretching techniques and breathing exercises.
Live Music Group
Live Music Group is an Undergraduate Student Organization at Hunter College. Live Music Group hosts and curates live musical performances in the many Hunter College Performing Arts facilities located throughout the campus.
Music Empowerment of Hunter College
Through free, one-on-one music lessons, Musical Empowerment at Hunter College nurtures meaningful relationships between Hunter College student mentors and underserved students in public schools based on a shared love of music and learning. The program aims to build a foundation of confidence, creativity and self-discipline to create successful individuals.
Rhythm Hitters
The title of this student-coordinated organization is called Rhythm Hitters. Our goal is to collectively connect engaging students who are interested in the art of Dance, more specifically, Hip-Hop dancing. Multi-leveled and differentiated styles of hip-hip dancing will be taught and choreographed within this organization.
Social and Ballroom Dance Club
The Social and Ballroom Dance Club was founded with the goal of fostering a fun and social environment around partnered dance styles as well as representing Hunter College in collegiate Latin and Ballroom dance competitions. Journal of Undergraduate Research
The Journal of Undergraduate Research strives to showcase research conducted by the undergraduate student body, the promotion of science journalism and the promotion of accurate scientific knowledge. Additionally, we hope to inform the student body of the many research programs, seminars and conferences available both at Hunter and in the Greater New York City Area.
Olivetree Review, The
The Olivetree Review is the arts and literary publication of Hunter College. Every semester the Olivetree Review releases an issue with the published works of Hunter students covering all forms of art including visual, poetry, prose, and drama. Additionally, this club hosts events in support of the arts such as Open Mics, Paint Nights, and workshops.
Photographers’ Collective at Hunter College
The Photographers Collective seeks to encourage the growth of emerging photographers, artists, and thinkers at Hunter College. The American Red Cross in Greater New York is a nonprofit humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to individuals affected by disasters, and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. The Red Cross Club of Hunter College, a division of the American Red Cross in Greater New York, consists of students working to uphold the ideals of the Red Cross movement. Our mission is to participate in service projects that will impact our community and the world. We offer student members many opportunities for self-development and the ability to choose activities that will address the community’s greatest needs. Bold Club
To connect Hunter students to clinical volunteer and research activities. This Club is an extension of the BOLD Program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Through this extension, Hunter undergraduates work on fundraisers to help underserved Communities in NYC and gain mentors in Einstein faculty.

Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation

Knitting for Healing Club of Hunter College
The purpose of the club is to donate our projects and create an inclusive environment were members can learn a new crafting skill (i.e. Knitting, crochet, embroidery, etc). Projects would be assigned to members and after completion, the project would be distributed to charities that donate these projects to people who need them. Projects such as blankets, scarfs, hats, and caps for premature babies will be collected and donated to the proper charity.
Pencils of Promise
The purpose of the Pencils of Promise Club is for students to be involved in promoting quality education for children in underdeveloped nations. Pencil of Promise organization has already created a difference in Ghana, Guatemala, Laos and Nicaragua by building over 470 schools. Hunter College students will aim to help continue the growth and success of these children’s future. The partnership with Pencils of Promise will help gather students to raise money for the opportunity for other children to receive education.
The Smart Girls Group of Hunter College
The purpose of this organization shall be to provide a place where we work together, as a team, to help one another succeed in all facets of life in a unique environment. Over the course of the semester, we each will learn a great deal about ourselves and one another and help each other realize our goals, both long term and short. Our mission is to help our local community and support various issues such as ending sexist oppression. We will hold several fundraisers and events supporting various organizations that will not only give back to the community but also help us grow individually and as a group.

To localize talent in the variety arts and provide palliative care at hospitals and senior homes through performance. To both provide a place for those interested in the variety arts to share ideas and perform and to provide volunteering opportunities for all students.
Coping Center
The purpose of this club is to create a safe environment for students who are not used to the stressful environment that is college. Our overall goal is to foster a sense of community after being isolated for so long due to Covid, and to provide respite from the taxing workload of college. We seek to help like-minded individuals come together, and to explore the cultures of different students. We will host events such as hobby nights, aiming to explore different hobbies, movie nights, and possible city exploration events aimed to help students experience more of the city. We also want to serve as a networking hub, helping members learn of possible jobs, internships, or volunteering opportunities.
Crochet and Knitting Club
The aim of the club is to build a friendly community in which to foster a comfortable, productive, therapeutic, interactive, social working environment for members to experience, craft, appreciate, practice, and engage in fiber arts. This club offers a wonderful opportunity for those inexperience to this classic and traditional form of art to develop their creative abilities/potentials and a newfound appreciation for fiber arts. Members will be inspired and challenged to learn or teach others how to craft various projects and clothing out of yarn while utilizing many different techniques, simple or complex, depending on skill level. Other activities including but not limited to: learning the design process, learning about health benefits and advantages of fiber art, choosing the right materials for the project, learning tips and tricks, improvising and customizing patterns, learning how to read patterns and construct geometric shapes, keeping track of stitches, and more. Furthermore, members are welcomed to share their knowledge in fiber arts and encouraged to be actively involved.

Health Literacy Initiative
The lack of healthcare literacy is a serious issue facing our communities, and it does not discriminate against socioeconomic status, ethnicity, gender nor level of education. The Healthcare Literacy Initiative will help our community understand and navigate our complicated and often confusing healthcare system by providing seminars and workshops on areas such as health insurance and access to care. By working with local community organizations, we hope to promote a platform for tomorrow’s healthcare providers to have a direct impact on public health today through civic engagement in our campus and community. Access to healthcare is a right, but unfortunately, properly navigating it has become a privilege restricted to few, and with this initiative, we hope to change that.
K-Pop
The purpose of this club is to build a community that allows and encourages students to appreciate the genre of music known as Korean pop, or K-pop for short. We wish to establish a friendly and supportive environment for those who have an interest in this genre to explore it. This will be accomplished by coming together as a group in order to share our interests, while performing various activities related to the genre, such as playing games and learning the choreography of different K-pop songs. The organization hopes to spread and foster the interest of Korean pop music among the Hunter community.

Mother Nature’s Gift Chapter of Hunter College
Poetry of the East Club at Hunter College (PotE)
Our focus will be the study, recitation, and historical examination of South Asian and Persian poetry. I intend to make it light-hearted and easy to understand. We will try to enjoy ourselves with events like mushairas (which is an open forum to present poetry that members have written or read), poetry slams, and nature walks. In addition, we will hold meetings where we will learn the principles of South Asian poetry styles, like nazm, ghazal, etc. The name of the club is inspired by the moniker given to one of the most revered Pakistani poets, Muhammad Allama Iqbal, who was often referred to by Westerners as the "Poet of the East". Though South Asian and Persian poetry are our points of interest, we are open to the full span of Asian poetry culture being represented.
Rehabilitation Therapy Club
The purpose of the Rehabilitation Therapy Club is to build a community of students who are interested in occupational therapy, physical therapy, or speech and language pathology. Rehabilitation therapy is oftentimes overshadowed by medical professions. With the establishment of this club, we are able to support and mentor each club member through the graduate application process, find internships and volunteering experiences, and invite guest speakers who can help further spread awareness on this sector of the health and medical workforces.
Renew Democracy Initiative
To both revive civility in political discourse and to promote Liberal Democratic principles to the student body of Hunter College. An emphasis is placed on using discussion events to bring back intellectual humility, scale back absolutism, protect ourselves from repeating history’s worst mistakes, and debating not to win – but to develop better ideas.
Rescuing Leftover Cuisine at Hunter College:
RLC is a non-profit organization that aims to reduce food waste by collecting excess food from restaurants and transporting them to nearby homeless shelters and community centers with the help of volunteers.
Society of Bioethics and Medicine
The purpose of this club is to bring awareness about ethical issues in medicine. Ambitious and passionate students are able to voice their opinions and listen to others in order to learn about different perspectives on a given topic. Events range from physician and professor speakers on controversial topics that deal with medicine and human values to debates and discussions led by the club.
Spikeball Club of Hunter College
The Hunter College Spikeball Club is a club that combines the drive to compete in a fun game while trying to help others. The sport will serve as a platform to unite people under a common sport, but also creates a community of people that want to have fun. This club will also encourage their players to get active in helping their community, charities, or any nonprofit organizations.
