SEEK Selected Students

If you chose Hunter College and indicated your interest in SEEK on your CUNY application, you may be "selected" as a potential SEEK at Hunter student. SEEK-selected students have satisfied the academic criteria for SEEK at Hunter, but additional steps are required to gain admission to the program.

Next Steps

For SEEK-Selected Freshmen

After you've been selected for SEEK, your next steps will be to:

  1. Submit FAFSA and TAP
  2. Receive Your SEEK at Hunter Admission Offer
  3. Commit to Hunter College
  4. Submit Your Immunizations
  5. Review Your Math Milestone

To verify your financial eligibility for SEEK at Hunter, you must do the following:

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  2. Complete the NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application (Undocumented students must complete the Jose Peralta TAP application in lieu of the FAFSA and TAP applications.)

If you have not filed yet, get help with your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and NY State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application or Jose Peralta Dream Act (TAP) applications. Filing early improves your chances of receiving aid, understanding your financial needs, and securing funds for tuition and fees.

Course Planning and Registration Workshop

After you have received your official admission offer and committed to attend SEEK at Hunter, we will contact you via email to invite you to attend a Course Planning and Registration Workshop in June. SEEK staff will guide you through the course-selecting process and help you enroll in your Fall courses.
