Overview
The SEEK Summer Bridge Program is a mandatory four-week, non-residential program for incoming freshmen SEEK at Hunter participants. During the summer prior to their first academic year at Hunter College, summer participants take non-credit bearing introductory courses in English, Writing, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science. Participants attend weekly skill-building workshops, daily tutorials, team-building exercises, and engage in experiential learning. The entire summer experience is designed to prepare incoming freshmen for the rigorous academic work required of matriculated Hunter College students.
Based on individual student performance during the summer program, SEEK at Hunter staff and faculty work with participants to develop an Educational Action Plan, which will map out each student’s career at Hunter.
