Readmission

About Readmission

If you previously attended Hunter and are in good academic standing, you may apply for readmission to the college. Your application should be submitted well in advance of the semester you wish to return. Learn more on the Undergraduate Admissions Readmission webpage.

If you are academically dismissed and your appeal has been denied, you may apply for readmission after you have been separated from The City University of New York for one semester or equivalent calendar time. Your academic record will be reviewed to determine if it is possible for you to raise your Hunter GPA to 2.0 within 24 credits. If your application for readmission is approved, a readmission letter will be sent to you.

For more information about the readmission process, meet with an Advisor in the Office of Advising Services in Room 1119 East Building, visit the Office of Admissions online; or consult the Hunter College Undergraduate Catalog.
