CLEP

Register with College Board:

1. Visit College Board to create an account and register.
2. Select CUNY-Hunter College Testing Center as your test center and enter code 2301 to send your scores to Hunter College.

Schedule Your Test:

1. Complete the Hunter College CLEP Appointment Request Form after obtaining your CLEP Registration Ticket.
2. Confirmation of your appointment will be sent via email within two business days.

Pay the Administrative Fee:

Pay the $36 non-refundable fee in person at the Office of the Bursar (Room 238, Hunter North). Payment must be made via money order payable to Hunter College Testing Center.
DANTES-Funded Military Service Members (Active Duty/Reserves/National Guard) do not have to pay the examination fee for the first attempt of each CLEP test, but will have to pay the administration fee.

Each CLEP subject exam can take approximately 2 hours. Exams can be rescheduled twice.

Exam Day Requirements

• Bring your CLEP Registration Ticket, valid government-issued photo ID, and proof of administrative fee payment. 
• Report to the Hunter College Testing Center (Room 150, Hunter North Building). 
• No electronic devices, including cell phones or calculators, are allowed in the exam room. 

Unofficial scores are available immediately (except for any CLEP exam with an essay or short answer response). Official score reports are sent out within 10 business days. If your institution/college does not receive your official score report, contact College Board. CLEP credits will be added to your transcript based on Hunter College's CLEP Exam Credit Chart. Any questions regarding acceptance of CLEP credits at Hunter should be addressed to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment (Room 203, North Building).
