Medical writer, author, and journalist RANDI HUTTER EPSTEIN is an adjunct professor at Columbia University and a lecturer at Yale University. Her articles have appeared in numerous magazines and newspapers, including The New York Times, Slate, and The Guardian. She is the author of Get Me Out: A History of Childbirth from the Garden of Eden to the Sperm Bank, and most recently, AROUSED: The History of Hormones and How they Control Just About Everything.

WALTER MOSLEY is the author of more than 43 critically acclaimed books, including his major bestselling mystery series featuring the character Easy Rawlins. His short fiction has been widely published and his nonfiction has appeared in The New York Times Magazine and The Nation, among other publications. He is the winner of numerous awards, including an O. Henry Award, a Grammy, and a PEN America Lifetime Achievement Award.

ANDRÉ ACIMAN is a memoirist, essayist, and New York Times bestselling novelist. He is the author of the Whiting Award-winning memoir Out of Egypt, which details his childhood growing up Jewish in post-colonial Egypt. In 2017, his novel, Call Me by Your Name, was adapted into a widely acclaimed film and named one of the top ten films of the year by the American Film Institute. His work has also appeared in The New Yorker, Condé Nast Traveler, and The Paris Review, among other publications.

RICHARD LEDERER is the author of more than 50 books about language, history, and humor, including his best-selling Anguished English series and his current books, Amazing Words and The Joy of Names. Dr. Lederer’s syndicated column, “Lederer on Language,” appears in newspapers and magazines throughout the United States, and he is a founding co-host of “A Way With Words” on Public Radio. He has been named International Punster of the Year and Toastmasters International’s Golden Gavel winner.

First-time novelist KATHERINE NOURI HUGHES is a speech-writer, and communications expert. She has worked as a communications executive in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, and has served as a long-time member of the national finance board of the Democratic National Committee. She also serves on the boards of the American University in Cairo, the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and WNET/13. Her debut novel, The Mapmaker’s Daughter, was released by Delphinium Books in August of 2017.
