About CUNYfirst

CUNYfirst allows students to manage their academic careers and financial accounts in real time while giving faculty tools to enhance their interaction with students. It is also designed to give staff access to powerful processes that connect with the finance, student administration, and human resources functions necessary to operate the nation’s largest urban university.

We ask that you never share your CUNYfirst login information—not even with people you trust. Because CUNYfirst is a "fully integrated system," sharing your account login information will give others access to personal information, such as your social security number, wage and salary information and home address. Security within CUNYfirst is very strict and what each user is able to view is determined on a "need to know" basis. Sharing account information undermines this strict security and exposes users to identity theft.

To find your confidential agreement code:

  1. Login to your CUNYfirst account
  2. Select Human Capital Management
  3. Then select Self Service
  4. Select CF Confidentiality Statement

To add additional email addresses:

  1. Login to your CUNYfirst account
  2. Select Self Service Personal > Information > Personal Information Summary
  3. Select the Change Email Addresses tab
  4. Select Add an Email Address
  5. Under Email Type, select a type that’s not already being used
  6. Enter a valid email address
  7. Save and click Ok on the Save Confirmation page

  • If you registered for a course and you no longer see it on your schedule, please contact the Registrar’s Office at registrar@hunter.cuny.edu.
  • If the class does not show up after you have been given permission to register, you must contact the department.
  • If the class is closed and you need permission, you must contact the department and instructor of the course for permission.
  • If you were given permission and don't see the class, you must contact the instructor and department. The Helpdesk cannot change and/or grant permission for any course.
  • If you’re still unable to register, contact registrar@hunter.cuny.edu.

Once you log in to CUNYfirst, if you don’t have an enrollment date you must contact the Registrar’s Office at registrar@hunter.cuny.edu.
