Media Services

Hunter College Media Services provides a wide range of audiovisual resources to support your event needs, from fully supported large scale events to simple audiovisual equipment requests.

We are able to provide a laptop with up-to-date software, cameras, and microphones to ensure your conference runs smoothly and without problems. At this point, our equipment allows us to service meetings with up to 15 local participants at a high quality level.

In addition to on-campus events, Hunter College Media Services can also host and support virtual events in the form of videoconference meetings or webinars.

Media Services can deliver and set up the equipment, but we are not able to provide staff to remain for the duration of your meeting or conference and monitor it.

In order for your event to run as smoothly as possible, it is important to designate someone from your group to act as the host. This person can be responsible for muting/unmuting participants, adjusting camera angles as necessary, and even repeating questions so that remote participants are able to hear everything clearly.

We are happy to provide advanced training to anyone not familiar with conferencing technology.

The best way to ensure the highest quality audio/video conference is to test everything in advance. We are always happy to meet with you in your reserved location prior to the date of your conference for set up and testing.

For larger-scale conferences, Media Services may require a walkthrough in advance so that we can provide the best possible service.

On the day of the event, we have very limited time and resources to make substantial changes to the setup, so it is best to iron out all of the details beforehand.
