Public Computing Services (PCS), a division of ICIT, supports over 275 computers in eight labs at Hunter’s 68th Street and Brookdale campuses. Windows and Macintosh labs are available for classes, workshops and orientations. Open hours for walk-in use by students are available in designated labs.

Public Computing Labs
Public Access Computers (PAC) are kiosk computers installed in public areas throughout the Hunter campuses. At this time, they only permit web browsing for the use of Hunter and CUNY student applications (Student webmail, CUNYfirst, Degreeworks, eSIMS, CUNY Portal etc).
To log onto the PAC system, you must enter your Hunter NetID and password.

PCS labs follow the Hunter College Academic Calendar for closures and other changes.
A wide variety of software is available in PCS labs, including Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, web browsers, as well as discipline-specific software such as SPSS and ArcGIS.

Labs are available for student walk-in use when classes are not in session.
ICIT PCS computer labs for student walk-in use are located in 1001A/D North and Thomas Hunter 405. Brookdale E015 is available 24/7 with OneCard swipe access.
A Hunter NetID is required to login to PCS computers. Faculty, students, and staff can find their NetID or change their password by using the NetID Central tool.
PCS labs can be reserved for an entire semester by an academic department Course Scheduler through the Office of the Registrar, Scheduling Division. One-off classes and workshops can be reserved during the semester by submitting the PCS Lab Request Form.
All instructional PCS labs are equipped with a dedicated instructor computer connected to a projection system or large screen TVs with audio reinforcement.
