Welcome to Hunter's Residence Life Program
Students who live in the Hunter College residences have the unique opportunity to enrich their learning experiences by becoming involved in the Residence Life community. Residents are involved in a number of social, educational, and cultural programs designed to enhance their out-of-the classroom education and to promote positive relationships within the residences and the community at large.
Only a limited number of Hunter's 23,000 students have the opportunity to live in our residences. The application process is highly competitive, and housing is not guranteed.
Thank you for your interest in our Residence Life Community!

Brookdale Dorm Update
The dorms on Hunter College’s Brookdale campus will be available to students through the 2024–2025 school year. The Brookdale dorm is scheduled to close in May, 2025 to enable a new Hunter-CUNY-New York City partnership and building complex focused on the future of health and science in New York, called SPARC.
Hunter College is working with CUNY on several fronts to continue to provide students with alternative dorm options after the Spring 2025 semester, and we will share confirmed information when we have it.
In addition, President Kirschner has established a Housing at Hunter Task Force, comprised of students and student affairs staff, to develop recommendations for improving housing access, information, and affordability for all of our students.
