Bridging Words and Worlds: Exploring Linguistic and Cultural Identities in France and Spain is a Faculty-led study abroad program that explores cultural and linguistic identities in France and Spain. Join us for a four-week study abroad experience that studies the interplay between language, culture, migration, and identity in two Mediterranean European destinations: Arles, France and Barcelona, Spain. During the program, you will deepen your understanding of the linguistic diversity of the region, examine historical legacies, and contemporary socio-political dynamics shaping language usage and cultural expression in these richly diverse regions. This program is designed to offer a deep, comprehensive understanding of the interconnections between Spanish and French languages and cultures. Through specialized courses in literature, culture, and translation, students will gain invaluable insights into the historical and contemporary ties that bind these two countries.
