Tepper Early Childhood Lab

Tepper Early Childhood Lab Rendering
Tepper Early Childhood Lab Plan
TeamContractor: Hunter In House Trades

Project ManagerJae Choi
LocationWest Building
CompletedNovember 1, 2022

Project Description

With this renovation, the Tepper Early Childhood Lab provides a teaching and learning space focused on investigative play and engagement, while prioritizing safety and family involvement. The space is designed to be flexible, allowing children to play in groups and individually in ways that help facilitate cognition, problem solving and speech and language development, as well as social, emotional and fine and gross motor skills. The classroom layout impacts the way children interact and use materials, as well as how effectively a student teacher can implement learning opportunities.

By supporting best practices, the design of the Tepper Early Childhood Lab will show students how to create similarly effective classroom spaces. They will also have the opportunity to work with a range of up-to-date materials and technologies that facilitate learning and social development in young children.
