Hunter College Dorms

Living at Hunter

Hunter College will retain the Brookdale dormitory until June 2025. As part of the college’s future housing plans, the City University of New York has procured 648 additional beds at the 51st Street dormitory, which will become available in Fall 2025, to replace the beds lost at Brookdale.

Hunter is closely collaborating with CUNY to secure a significant portion of these new beds for our students, with many expected to be offered at rates close to those currently available at Brookdale. We will continue to provide housing options at our 79th Street location.

Brookdale Campus

Housing until June 2025 — 648 beds

The Brookdale Campus is located at 425 East 25th Street. Residential spaces occupy 18 floors in the three buildings at Brookdale, and house up to 650 students. The Brookdale Campus is an active academic campus with 24-hour security.

Midtown East (51 ST)

At present, Hunter has 96 beds

The Midtown East 51st Street dorms are located at 569 Lexington Ave. Students enjoy communal amenities, including 24-hour security, high-speed internet, on-site laundry, study lounges, and a large communal kitchen and dining room.

Hunter's Apartments (79 St)

Hunter’s Apartments at 79th Street are located on 334 East 79th Street, just a few blocks from Hunter College. Apartments at 79th Street are open-floor plan four-person quads, three-person triples, and six-person suites with very limited private bedrooms.
