COURSE DESCRIPTION
Cross-listed with the Department of GEOG—This course is designed to introduce students to what philosophers have had to say about the environment—and the environmental crisis that is the central feature of life in the 21st century.
Students will learn:
- The views of some prominent philosophers who wrote about the environment.
- What some crucial disagreements have been between them.
- What some of the current controversies are in recent thought about the environment.
