On June 21, Hunter will observe the 2019 Daylight Hour campaign by encouraging administrative offices to turn off non-critical lights in day-lit spaces from 12 - 1 PM.

Daylight Hour is a campaign organized by the Building Energy Exchange t oraise awareness about energy consumption. In 2018, offices in more than 20 countries turned off lights in 130 million square feet of space, offsetting greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to 437,000 miles driven in a passenger vehicle!

Join us on June 21 by volunteering to turn off non-critical lights for one hour.

Submit a group or office photo showcasing your Daylight Hour participation to green@hunter.cuny.edu for a chance to win a Daylight Hour award !
