Screening 4 – 6PM – Lang Recital Hall, 4th fl. Hunter North Building

Discussion 6-7 PM

Reception 7-8:30PM – Hunter TV Studio, 4th fl. Hunter North Building

We are hosting a group of half a dozen students from the Film Academy at Hong Kong Baptist University, along with faculty for an evening of screenings and a chance to get together over refreshments.

This is a first for the Department of Film & media Studies and for the IMA/MFA Program and it comes at a time when a look at the newspaper suggests it is more important than ever to reach out across borders and to remind ourselves that film can be an unparalleled tool for helping us understand the experience of others.

The theme is Home, one designed to spark intersections between experiences for students in urban universities in two large cites where students come from many backgrounds, and for whom the idea of home is often a complex weave of threads from near and far.

Hunter students who will be showing work include Film/Media students Karina Sanchez and Kate Flynn and IMAers Emily Collins, Tarek Bouraque, Samantha Farinella, and Gordon Bell.

Whether you are a student or a member of the faculty, join us, and bring friends.
