Author of Long Bright River and Hunter College MFA alumna, Liz Moore ’07 joins Beth Macy, award winning journalist and author of Dopesick for a conversation about the human face of addiction.
Join us as Beth Macy chats with Liz Moore about her most recent novel , Long Bright River, which The Wall Street Journal calls “Powerful” and The New York Times Book Review, “A twisty literary thriller… Moore’s careful balance of the hard-bitten with the heartfelt is what elevates Long Bright River from entertaining page-turner to a book that makes you want to call someone you love.” In Dopesick, Macy follows three Virginia communities coming to grips with addiction. As opioid addiction has touched families across America, Moore and Macy put a human face on the long-term effect of addiction on victim, friends, community, and family.
The event will conclude with a live, virtual, Q&A.
This event will be held online via Zoom.
