Seminar: Kinda Hachem (NY Fed / University of Virginia)
Kinda Hachem is an Associate Professor of Consumer Credit in the Global Economies and Markets area at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, and a Financial Research Advisor in Capital Markets at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She conducts theoretical and empirical research in macroeconomics, monetary economics, financial intermediation, financial crises, and shadow banking.
Her work has been published in several leading academic journals, including the Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of Economic Theory, and the Review of Economics and Statistics. She was appointed an associate editor at the Journal of Monetary Economics and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Economic Literature. Before joining Darden, Kinda was associate professor of economics at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics, an M.A. in Economics, and an Honors B.Sc. in Economics (Quantitative Methods) from the University of Toronto.
