Policy and Procedure
In order to select a Credit/No Credit (CR/NC) grade for a course, you must complete and submit the Credit/No Credit Request Form, made available by the Office of the Registrar. You must submit the form by the first day of the 13th week of classes in the fall and spring semesters, and the first day of the last week of classes in all winter and summer sessions. See the Academic Calendar for the exact dates.
- You may not elect the CR/NC grading option after the deadline and there are no appeals allowed for late election.
- Once a you choose a CR/NC grade for a course, that choice is final and irrevocable.
- A CR/NC request is invalid if your election of the CR/NC grading option violates college-wide and/or program-specific restrictions.
Be sure to consult with academic, faculty and financial aid advisors as well as check the policies of Hunter College and external financial-aid agencies before opting for a CR/NC grade.
