Do you need a babysitter? A tutor for your child? Perhaps you need someone to walk your dog during the day? Or maybe you need help with errands?
Welcome to Hunter Helpers – a service that assists local community members in finding Hunter College students for part-time help.
Hunter Helpers offers the following services: Babysitting, Tutors, Dog Walking, Party Assistance, Errands, etc.
Step 1: Create Your Client Account
- Click on the provided link to access the registration page: url.hunter.cuny.edu/hunterhelpers.
- Select “Register as a New Client” to begin creating your client account.
- Fill in your personal information.
- Enter an accessible email address as a verification link will be sent to it.
- Verify your email address by clicking on the link provided in the email sent to you.
- Once your password has been reset, return to the login page.
- Enter your credentials to access your client account page. Refresh the page to prevent error messages.
Step 2: Making a Job Posting
- Click on the “Create New Job” tab.
- Provide your job description and other necessary details and submit your job request.
- You will receive a notice indicating that your application is under review.
- Once reviewed you will receive another notification stating if your application was approved or rejected (reason for rejection will be mentioned in the email).
- Upon approval, your job posting becomes visible on the student portal, enabling students to submit their applications directly to your client account, you will receive an email notification when a student applied to your post.
- Following this step, you may reach out to individual students to schedule interviews.
- Once a student is hired, deactivate posting by accessing your profile. The job will be listed under “Active Jobs – Posted”, click the top right “Deactivate” button, and complete the survey.
- Please note that your job posting will only be visible for 30 days.
- Hunter College acts only as a clearinghouse for the convenience of students (Hunter College students) and clients. Students are not employed or screened by the College.
