Eden Volkov is a Research Associate at the Employee Benefit Research Institute. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Mathematics, and a master’s degree in Economics at Hunter College. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Davis.Dr. Volkov’s research interests include the effects of employer sponsored dependent health coverage on the educational, labor supply, and health care utilization decisions of young adults. Before coming to EBRI, her dissertation work centered on the effect of the 1996 welfare reform on the economic consequences of parental union dissolution and the effect of health care reform on young adults.
