Hunter College mourns the loss of sports journalist, coach, and New York City Basketball Hall of Famer Charley Rosen ’62. Rosen played basketball at Hunter from 1959 to 1962, setting many school records for scoring and rebounding. More than 60 years later, he still holds the top spot for career points per game!
A Bronx native, the 6-foot-8 Rosen wrote 16 books about basketball, including The First Tip Off, The House of Moses All-Stars, Barney Polan’s Game, No Blood, No Foul, More Than a Game, The Pivotal Season, and The Wizard of Odds.
