The Joan Hansen Grabe Dean of Hunter’s Nursing School, Ann Marie Mauro, has been named as a distinguished fellow of the National Academies of Practice in Nursing.
The high honor recognizes outstanding achievements in the profession and in interprofessional care. Mauro will be inducted into the academies’ Class of 2024 in March at the organization’s Annual Meeting & Forum in Jacksonville, Fla.
The non-profit NAP was founded in 1981 in order to advise government bodies on healthcare. It bills itself as “the only interprofessional group of healthcare practitioners and scholars dedicated to supporting affordable, accessible, coordinated quality healthcare for all.”
