Victoria O’Connor is a Hunter College grad student studying cognitive and comparative psychology. O’Connor, who is interested in the behavior and cognition of African lions and snow leopards, conducted an experiment using a multi-access puzzle box with food inside to find out which animals would be quickest to open the box. Her hypothesis was that the lions would be better problem solvers than the snow leopards. O’Connor’s experiment was featured on an episode of the popular TV show Animal Planet.
