Hunter College High School alumnus and broadway superstar, Lin Manuel-Miranda ('98), received a touching message from his 8th-grade English teacher, Dr. Rembert Herbert, that brought him to tears. Lin suggests that without Dr. Herbert's guidance in school, he may not have gone on to write and compose his award-winning musicals, In the Heights and Hamilton.
