Hunter rocks CUNY tech!
Hunter College’s Information Technology team won two CUNY Excellence in Technology Awards this year: one for Outstanding Project Serving Students, Faculty, and Staff and the other for Individual Outstanding Service.
“Congratulations on this achievement to our outstanding team of technologists,” said Hunter Chief Information Officer and Associate Provost for Technology Henry Saltiel. “We are all so proud of your accomplishments, which make administering Hunter so much easier!”
Team members Paulina Vizgan, Joe Zhou, and Michael Medved won the Outstanding Project Award — one of only three given — for RAGAS (Automated Retroactive Withdrawals and Charge Deletion Appeals System). The Individual Outstanding Service Award went to Artur Solecki.
The awards were presented at the annual CUNY I.T. Conference on November 30 by Vice Chancellor and University CIO Seb Formoso. They recognize the contributions of campus I.C.I.T. teams to the university for innovation, collaboration, and greatest benefit to students, faculty and/or staff as measured by customer service, cost savings, and improved operations. Nominations to the competitive awards are judged by an independent group of technology executives from across CUNY. Hunter had five projects in contention for the awards this year — itself an achievement.
