Ariana Ahmed (’23), has won the Schwarzman Scholarship to study at Tsinghua University next year!
Ariana, who currently works at McKinsey, graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and Minors in Asian American Studies & Public Policy. Ariana was a Thomas Hunter Honors Scholar, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa as a Junior, and finished with a GPA of 3.95. Ariana was also a JFEW Scholar and a Mellon Public Humanities & Social Justice Fellow. In her senior year (2022-23), she was President of USG, after having served as President of Hunter’s Mock Trial Society, and President of the Queer Student Union.
Ariana follows last year’s Schwarzman winner, Jennelle Ohene-Agyei (’24), who is currently studying at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Ariana is the seventh Hunter student to win the Schwarzman since 2018-19.
