Director Erica Schmidt has breathed new life into a Shakespeare classic. The Hunter Theater Project’s Mac Beth (running through Feb. 22 at the Hunter College Frederick Loewe Theater) continues to garner impressive critical praise.
“Schmidt’s poetically choreographed direction affects diction as much as movement, and her actors’ speech grows out of fertile symbolic soil,” writes Vinson Cunningham in The New Yorker.
