Hunter’s Mother’s Day Campaign: A Great Way To Say ‘Thank-You!’

Hunter College created the Mother’s Day Scholarship Fund in 2005 to honor the many remarkable women who have graced our halls. In the almost 20 years of the Mother’s Day Scholarship Campaign, it has raised more than $10 million for thousands of deserving students and secured more than a dozen endowments and almost 100 named scholarships in honor of Hunter graduates.

Supporters of the Mother’s Day Scholarship Campaign embody the spirit of the Hunter motto: Mihi cura futuri, “The care of the future is mine.” Through their contributions, they honor the memory and legacy of the women who pioneered pathways to higher education and economic mobility. Some of today’s supporters are the very alumni who received the award at the campaign’s founding almost 20 years ago.

What else is new this year?

Our Mother’s Day Scholarship Campaign changed to thank donors more personally and directly!

For named-scholarship gifts of $2,750 or more, The Hunter College Foundation will now mail each honoree, or those making gifts in memory of a loved one, a personalized video with a message of gratitude from current Mother’s Day scholars.

It’s not too late to support the campaign this fiscal year!

Donate to the Mother’s Day Campaign before June 30
