As we observe the holiday of Juneteenth, we are pleased to announce the launch of a summer program titled Conversations about Race, Racism, and Reform at Hunter College and in America Today. This program will be part of a comprehensive series of actions that will be implemented to address racial discrimination and inequality at Hunter and in our communities. Details will be shared in the coming weeks. To learn more and join in virtual celebrations of Juneteenth, please visit the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History & Culture. Each of us has the ability to contribute to these efforts in our own way—and live the Hunter motto, Mihi Cura Futuri (the Care of the Future Is Mine).
