Ruth Finkelstein

Ruth Finkelstein, the Rose Dobrof Director for Hunter’s Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging, speaking at the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College.

In a New York Daily News op-ed, Ruth Finkelstein, the Rose Dobrof Director for Hunter’s Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging, argues that vaccine distribution must account for and address health disparities among older adults.

“Some people can always run to the head of the line; other people need help to get onto the queue,” writes Finkelstein. “We cannot measure vaccine rollout progress by numbers alone. Success depends on achieving equity in vaccine distribution.”
