- Academic Rigor and Scholarly Work: Provide evidence-based healthcare delivery services for underserved populations using individualized health care models, applications, and best- practices.
- Research, Fieldwork/Internship Placement, Courses, Workshops & Entrepreneurial Support for Hunter students and faculty: Expand educational opportunities for Hunter students through the development of health technology oriented coursework, internships, workshops, and research opportunities. Through these opportunities encourage greater interdisciplinary learning and collaborations among faculty.
- Health-Tech Consultants: Establish core expertise and up-to-date knowledge of assessment and treatment options in digital health in order to provide health technology companies with premier advisory services, including user experience and design, technology and app development, health content.
- Evaluation: Provide evidence based healthcare delivery alternatives based on research involving the development, application, and evaluation of digital health technology.
- Funding pilot grants for clinical trials stemming from basic research projects.
- Establishment of an academic consulting arm through corporate collaborations. In addition to STTR grants detailed above, this will involve:
- Furnishing proof of principle grants for collaboration between scientists and corporate technology partners to design user-friendly digital healthcare delivery tools
- Presenting at health tech events to position CHTW as the academic consulting resource offering advisory services on targeted health issues
- Program evaluation for health technology products and services
- Hunter College faculty experts on health-tech – assist faculty with health-tech grants and development.
- Health Content Experts – The Center provides the academic rigor and health expertise for health-tech companies. Health literacy, content creation, testing, design, etc.
- Fostering community outreach to create a dialogue and drive practical innovation by understanding the needs of underserved NYC neighborhoods:
- Health-Tech Academic and Community Events
- Content (website and newsletter, journal articles, reports, white papers and ebooks)
- Scholarly Activity around Health Tech for Urban Communities: Journal submissions, reports, and expertise to health tech communities
