Fidelito C. Cortes has written two books of poetry, Waiting for the Exterminator and Everyday Things. He was a Stegner fellow in poetry at Stanford University and an international writing fellow at the University of Iowa. He has lectured on writing and literature at Silliman University and the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. His most recent academic essay, "The Poetry of Everyday Things: Poetics and the World," was published in AKDA: The Asian Journal of Literature, Culture and Performance.
