Jennifer DiPiazza, PhD, RN, PMHNP-BC is a Doctoral Lecturer at Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing and a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Dr. DiPiazza teaches graduate psychiatric nursing and has begun a program of research focused on cigarette smoking cessation. Previously she was in clinical practice at New York University Student Health Center, where she treated patients for nicotine dependence and a range of mental health disorders. At the same time she was a clinical preceptor for graduate psychiatric nursing students at New York University and an instructor for undergraduate students at LaGuardia Community College.
Dr. DiPiazza was a fellow in the Substance Abuse Research and Education and Training (SARET) program at the Center for Drug Use and HIV Research at New York University in 2010. This fellowship emphasized clinical research in substance abuse.
Dr. DiPiazza resides in New York City and has one son who entered Kindergarten in 2015. She enjoys hiking, yoga, tennis, cross country skiing, running, and vegetarian cooking.
