Vasiliy Arkanov is a former journalist and a published translator. Over the last ten years, he has taught intermediate and advanced Russian at Columbia University, Barnard College, and Indiana University Summer Language School. Since 2014, he has been working as a Senior Academic Advisor at the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College, and as an Adjunct Lecturer in intermediate Russian language courses in the Russian and Slavic Studies program.
