Make Your Appointment

Steps for CUNY-to-CUNY Transfers

Make a Group Advising Appointment
  1. View available days/times on Navigate.
  2. Select an option and follow prompts to finalize.

All transfer students are assigned an academic advisor after attending Group Advising.

Reminder: Class seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis and we strongly recommend that you register for a group advising session as early as possible for the widest availability of classes for the semester.

Make An Advising Appointment To:

  • Analyze and discuss your transfer credits and/or course equivalencies.
  • Clarify Hunter’s graduation requirements with your transfer credit information.
  • Review, discuss and adjust (if needed) your class schedule to develop a holistic plan.
  • Connect to Hunter resources.

All transfer students are assigned an academic advisor after attending Group Advising.

Note: Advisors experience a high volume of student appointments during the on boarding season for new transfers, and you may have to search for meeting dates a week or two in the future. Do not wait for an appointment to register for classes; during the advising session you will review your course selection and make any necessary adjustments.

Prepare for Your Appointment

Our expectation is that you are registered for classes to the best of your ability. At our meeting we will review your course selection, ensure that you are clear with Hunter’s graduation requirements, and connect you with the College’s resources.

To that end, we strongly recommend that you are on time for your advising appointment, in a quiet space and on a computer (if meeting virtually), and take notes for future reference.

We look forward to meeting with you soon!
