About Us
At the Lewis Burke Frumkes Center for Writing and Culture at Hunter College we inspire CUNY students and other New Yorkers to build on their dreams and innate potential to find their individual roads to success. We do this by exposing them to small, focused talks and interactive environments with leading authors, mathematicians, scientists, and media professionals such as Joyce Carol Oates, Walter Mosley, Gay Talese, Edward Witten, James Watson, and David Greenspoon, as well as many others.
Despite the recent problems with COVID, we fully expect to host, in addition to our many speakers, a full-fledged writers' conference during the summer and master classes throughout the year taught by leading professionals.
