Formerly known as Crossing Borders, the Center for Russian and East European Cultures offers an opportunity for writers, artists, performers, filmmakers, scholars and political thinkers from Russia and Eastern Europe to present their work in New York City. Reflecting the academic curriculum of the Russian and Slavic Studies Program, the center is designed to inspire our students and enrich their learning experience, as well as to acquaint New Yorkers at large with Russian and East European cultures. Our events (readings, lectures, film screenings, book talks and more) take place during the academic year and are usually free and open to the public.
