Business at Hunter
About Us
Our mission is to ensure that Hunter students of all majors have access to advising and resources that will enable them to pursue a wide range of business careers.
In today’s ever-changing employment landscape, hiring managers value a liberal arts degree, as it offers the types of skills they most want to see in their employees – things like communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving and flexibility. As a liberal arts college, Hunter does not offer a business major. However, we provide a range of resources to complement what students are learning in their fields of study. These include:
- Cooperman Business Center – offering advising, speakers, workshops and other programming all designed to help students identify and successfully pursue business careers that align with their interests and strengths.
- Certificate in Business Studies – a 15-credit program that can be completed alongside any Hunter major, and that will help students develop a business-oriented mindset.
- Cooperman Fellowship – a cohort of high-achieving Hunter students who have been identified as future business leaders.
