As project manager of Capital Projects and Planning at Hunter College, Mr. Jonathan Dickson directs and supervises design professionals, general contractors and project teams. He oversees costs and schedules and ensures that all projects meet environmental compliance and university standards. He is also responsible for tracking and developing all of Hunter’s capital projects phasing from design to construction and completion.
Mr. Dickson’s main areas of interest include design innovation, construction management, budgeting, value engineering, plan review and historical preservation. He most enjoys seeing projects through to completion and witnessing their continued use in the future.
Prior to arriving at Hunter College, Mr. Dickson worked in various positions gaining experience in civil site development, construction trades, architectural design and construction management.
He holds an associate’s degree in construction management from SUNY Dutchess Community College and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the New York Institute of Technology.
