Classroom Research Practica/Methods
The form should ONLY be used for Research Practica/Research Methods courses where students are solely involved in the process of learning research methods. The data from these projects WILL NOT be used for presentations at conferences, publications (scholarly journals, research papers, etc.), master's theses and/or doctoral dissertations.
Research Practica/Research Methods courses are designed to give students an opportunity to practice various research methods such as interviews, observations, survey techniques, measurements of behavior (e.g., reaction time, speech, problem solving), as well as data analysis including publicly available, de-identified data. The class exercise may not fit the definition of human subjects research as defined by the federal regulations 45 CFR 46, in the sense that the results are not intended for publication or for generalization.
Applications will not be accepted more than four weeks after the start of the semester.
