Dr. Jennifer R. Majumdar is the founding Assistant Specialty Director of the Nurse Anesthesia DNP program and an assistant professor at the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing at Hunter College of the City University of New York (CUNY). A distinguished nurse scientist and educator, Dr. Majumdar brings over a decade of clinical experience and a robust research portfolio to her role at Hunter. Her leadership has been pivotal in developing the Nurse Anesthesia program, fostering clinical partnerships, and advancing evidence-based practices in anesthesia education.
Dr. Majumdar’s research focuses on oncology symptom management in the perioperative period. She serves as a Nurse Scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), where she has led patient-centered research, and interdisciplinary teams aimed at improving outcomes for oncology patients. Her clinical insights, drawn from years of practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), have informed her research, emphasizing the need for targeted supportive interventions during critical periods of patient recovery.
