What is the FAFSA?
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is an application for federal monies to be used to pay for college related costs and consists of grants, loans and work-study. Parents can submit their income and tax information in order to qualify their children for federal aid. The site can be found at www.studentaid.gov. To complete the FAFSA you will need your social security number, driver's license, income tax returns, bank statements, and investment records. Once you have completed the FAFSA it will be submitted to your schools of choice. Early submission is encouraged since funds are awarded on a first come first served basis.
Parent Meetings & Workshops
We will begin programming for parents soon! We hope to have workshops once a month that will address a variety of topics, such as linking you with community resources and assisting you with the college search and financial aid process for your students who plan to attend college, among many others. We will also be asking you to complete a brief survey so that we can solicit ideas from you as to what types of workshops you would like to see us facilitate. Check back soon for more information!
