Happy New Year! We hope that you are having a restful winter, whether you are taking a course or taking time away from campus. Hunter is open throughout the winter, and there are still events, advising, and other support services still available! 💼 Human Biology Program News 🧬

  • Graduation Readiness Workshop for Human Biology Majors
    • Want to learn everything you need to know about graduation? All Human Biology majors are invited to our Graduation Readiness Workshop via Zoom! Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 graduates are highly encouraged to attend.

  • Apply for the Human Biology CIE Program (CUNY Inclusive Economy Program)!
    • Want to enter a career in healthcare directly after graduation? Need support in preparing and applying for internships and jobs in healthcare? Human Biology majors are invited to apply for the Human Biology CIE Program, which grants students extra advising NOW (from as early as freshman year!) until graduation as they explore career pathways and prepare to directly enter the workforce after graduation! Apply here!

Tutoring (Virtual and In Person sessions available!)

  • Dolciani Math Center

    • FINALS NEWS!
      • During peak hours, they have added tutors so that you
        can get the help that you need. For finals week, they will have multiple tutors for each course. Check their website for the hours from Monday December 16 through Friday December 20.Are you taking a math or stat course in the Spring?  The Dolciani Center is offering several types of preparation for your courses that we strongly encourage you to attend.
    • SPECIAL BOOT CAMPS FOR MATH 101, 101EN, MATH 150 AND STAT 113 IN JANUARY
      • These workshops will be several days and will include the math study skills needed to be successful including test-taking strategies and ways to overcome math and test anxiety as well as the prerequisite skills needed for day 1 of your course. You will receive a special invitation over Christmas Break with registration available on Navigate by January 2.
    • TOPIC-SPECIFIC BOOT CAMPS IN JANUARY
      • These will be held from Jan 15 to Jan 23 and are offered both online and onsite and are open to all students.  Register through Navigate beginning January 2.  Topics vary from Review of Basic Math Concepts to Graphing to Derivatives.  You will review and then do a lot of practice in each session to get ready for the Spring semester.
    • ARE YOU A VETERAN OR A STUDENT WITH ACCOMMODATION NEEDS TAKING A MATH/STAT COURSE IN THE SPRING?  
      • Are you taking advantage of the additional services offered by the Center to support you in your course?  Contact them BEFORE the semester begins so they can get you set up from Day 1!
    • WILL YOU NEED TO RETAKE A MATH/COURSE IN THE SPRING?  
      • Consider participating in their coaching program in the Spring.  Invitation will be sent to you once you register for the course.
