Academic Calendar

The Academic Calendar is subject to change at any time by official action of the University. 

ePermit and Permit — If you are interested in taking a course at another CUNY campus or another college, you must apply for an ePermit or Permit to do so.

Evening Classes — Evening classes begin at 4:35 pm or later. To be notified when the College is closed due to severe weather, you should register for CUNYAlert.

Financial Aid Enrollment Status Certification date — your enrollment status on this date is used to determine your financial aid.

VOE — Verification of Enrollment. Faculty must verify your enrollment in their class in order to determine WN grades (see below).

W Grade – You may withdraw from classes after the last day to drop for a 25% tuition refund, through the last day to withdraw. You will receive a “W” grade that is not calculated into your GPA. Students who officially withdraw from a course at this point are NOT eligible for a tuition refund.

Wait List — If a class you want to take is filled, you can join a wait list on CUNYfirst. Learn about waitlisting.

WD grade — A Withdraw/Drop grade indicates that you attended a class at least once before dropping it. You will receive a “WD” grade if you drop a course after the Financial Aid Enrollment Status Certification date, until the last day to drop a course for 25% Tuition Refund. A “WD” grade does not appear on your official transcript and is not calculated into your GPA.

WN grade — A Withdrawn/Never Attended grade will be assigned to you if you are certified as having never attended the class by the faculty, on the Verification of Enrollment Roster. A “WN” grade does not appear on your official transcript and is not calculated into your GPA.
